Students participating in this three-hour seminar (9am-12pm) will learn tools to craft the ideal essay and/or research-based paper, including how to most effectively:

organize an essay/research paper

craft college-level thesis statements for any assignment

support thesis statements with evidence

earn extra points on a variety of assignments, including DBQ's
The primary focus will be to help students excel on writing in the Social Studies, however, students will learn valuable tips that will improve their writing in all subjects (even college essays!).
Each student will leave with a newfound confidence and understanding of how to more effectively write inside AND outside of the classroom…if your child struggles with writing, then this is the perfect seminar for him/her!
